Wadia 170 er ingen vanlig iPod® dokkingstasjon. I motsetning til ALLE andre dokkingstasjoner på markedet, så henter Wadia ut et ubehandlet digitalt lydsignal rett fra iPodens harddisk eller flashminne. Dette gjør at lydsignalet går utenom all elektronikk i iPoden og kan kobles direkte til en ekstern D/A-konverter eller forsterker med digital inngang. Resultatet er en lydkvalitet som er lysår foran det man vanligvis forbinder med iPod®!

Den har selvfølgelig vanlig analog lydutgang i tillegg.

Wadia 170 er også utstyrt med høykvalitets videoutganger i form av Component video og S-video. Disse formatene er de beste videoformatene iPod® støtter, avhengig av iPod® type.

Kommer med ekstern switchmode strømforsyning med nettstøyfilter, flott fjernkontroll med iPod®-funksjoner og dokking-adaptere for alle typer iPod®.
